Join Emily Fontano for the Celebration of Life her mother, Janet, never wanted. This one-hour semi-improvised,musical, comedic, irreverent farewell invites guests to grieve, laugh, and share “memories” of Janet—a woman they never met but will feel compelled to mourn. Audience participation, awkward sentiment, and unexpected hymns (yes Emily will be singing!) make this the strangest, most refreshing memorial for someone you never knew.
Emily Fontano has been a Fringe regular since 2010, starting with Since Carrie. In 2015, she was part of the award winning ensemble of Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche. In 2025, she appears in Forgotten Broadway at Judson’s Live. A SAK Comedy Lab member since 2013 and former Artistic Director, she now serves on the Orlando Fringe Board, pouring her love into every project.
