Using a blend of visual storytelling, dance, circus and acro-pole, this unconventional duo show about a father's relationship with his trans son speaks to the times we live in while offering a hopeful vision of the future. Both a moving and a joyful meditation on all that unites and divides us, Box [M] explores concepts of masculinity through the lens of our closest relationships.
About the artists:
Performer Landyn Endo (they/he) has danced professionally with Multiplex Dance Company, co-founded the West Hollywood Dance Festival, performed in Europe with DTM2 Improvisational Ensemble, Off-Broadway in NYC, and in Japan, among other credits.
Performer Os Roxas (he/him) grew up on a US military base in the Philippines playing war games in the jungle. As an adult, he was introduced to aerial & pole, and is now a full time aerial and pole instructor.
Director Genie Cartier (she/they) has been a circus performer for 30 years. Most recently, her solo show "the Curve", won the Best of Fringe award at SF Fringe in 2023, and was performed at Orlando Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe in 2024.
