“It’s Shakespeare meets Monty Python!”
When the animal residents of modern-day Blackpool, England need extra cash, they turn to Fosgate in this slapstick musical sendup of The Merchant of Venice. Fosgate's Payday and Title Loan shop lures cash-strapped entrepreneurs, dreaming of wealth and success, to trade on an uncertain and potentially disastrous future.
Fosgate, Ferret Loan Officer is a broad parody of Shakespeare's The Merchant Of Venice by way of the British comedy of Monty Python, Benny Hill, et al. If you're old enough to borrow against your allowance to buy video games, or take out a mortgage on your retirement home, you're sure to enjoy "Fosgate".
